HOW TO RENEW ICPI CONCRETE PAVER INSTALLER CERTIFICATION

Step 1: Complete an Application for Certification.
The Application for Certification is a new requirement that is now required of everyone who wants to become a Certified Installer.  We are retroactively collecting this information from everyone who was previously listed as certified, in order to verify that Certified Installers have the required amount of installation experience.  Please note: Installation experience needs to be submitted only ONCE. If you do not currently meet the installation experience requirements, you may apply for certification once you do meet the requirements.

Step 2: Complete a Renewal Form.
If your certification has not yet expired, please expect to receive a renewal notice approximately 3 months prior to your expiration date.  If your certification has already expired, contact ICPI for a Renewal Form.

Step 3: Report your Continuing Education.
If your certification expires on 12/31/2011 or LATER, you are also required to complete a specific amount of continuing education prior to your expiration date (see table below).  You should use the Continuing Education Tracking Form to report the CE credits you have earned.  Upon renewal, your certification will be renewed for two-years, and 8 credits of continuing education must be earned within every two-year certification term.

Step 4: Submit all forms with a renewal fee.  Please note that all renewal paperwork must be received by ICPI or postmarked by January 31 immediately following your expiration date.

AUDITING PROCESS

The records of ICPI Certified Concrete Paver Installers will be randomly audited to verify installation experience and continuing education.  Those individuals who cannot provide documented evidence of installation experience or continuing education will be subject to suspension and revocation of certification.


CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTIFICATION RENEWAL

The table below shows the number of continuing education credits required for renewal.  This ONLY applies to Certified Installers who have never renewed their certification, who were originally certified under the old program with a five-year certification term.  For those Certified Installers who are NEW to the program as of October 2010, and were awarded a certification with a two-year term, 8 continuing education credits will be required prior to renewal.  If you are unsure of how many credits you need to earn, please contact ICPI.

If you were originally certifed under the old certification program, and have never renewed, and your expiration date is… You need to earn the following number of CE credits PRIOR to renewal:
12/31/2011 5
12/31/2012 or LATER
