Concrete Paver Installer Course

By participating in the ICPI Concrete Paver Installer Course (formerly Level I), individuals who are currently employed in the concrete paver installer industry have the opportunity to pursue education, certification and industry recognition. You can become one of more than 14,000 currently certified installers. ICPI paver manufacturing members sponsor schools throughout the US and Canada, with most courses occuring from November through March. Knowledge. Industry professionals share knowledge of industry guidelines, practices and advances applicable to the construction and installation of interlocking concrete pavers.

Recognition. A Record of Completion will be awarded to all individuals who successfully complete the two-day course and pass the written exam.  Certification is earned by obtaining a Record of Completion and meeting installation experience requirements.

Promotion. Paver installer program training and certification can be a powerful marketing tool to your clients by further establishing your credibility as a knowledgeable contractor.

What you will receive from the course

Participants who take the course and earn a passing score on the exam will receive a Record of Completion for the course.  This Record of Completion does not expire, and will not require a renewal.

Participants interested in earning an ICPI Concrete Paver Installer certification will need to complete the steps listed below. 

To earn an ICPI Concrete Paver Installer certification, a participant must:

  1. Take the ICPI Concrete Paver Installer course
  2. Receive a passing grade on the exam
  3. Complete an Application for Certification (meeting the minimum installation experience requirements of at least 5 projects and 10,000 sq. ft.)
  4. Once you have completed the above steps and receive your certification it will be valid for two years.  During each two-year term, you must complete 8 continuing education credits in order to renew your certification (please see below for more information).
