2019 ICPI Summer Meeting
The ICPI Group Room Block for the 2019 Summer Meeting is now open. Please first complete your meeting registration and the room request form will be attached to your registration confirmation email.
Group Room Rate: $179 USD/night + taxes
Make Reservations By: Room Request Form (attached to the Registration Confirmation Email)
Check-In: 3:00pm CST
Parking: Self Parking: $23 plus tax per night
Hotel parking is in an underground parking garage with unlimited in and out privileges included in the daily rate.
Please complete your Meeting Registration and you will receive your room request form attached to the confirmation email. Please complete and return your room request form to Erin Hobson at firstname.lastname@example.org or fax the form to 703-657-6901 by no later than July 26, 2019. ICPI has a limited number of rooms within the block at the discounted rate, please be sure to reserve your room as soon as possible to ensure your accomodations at the host hotel.
This year’s annual Innovative Technologies Forum includes two presentations on PICP cleaning and another on expanding paver installations onto existing wood decks.
PICP cleaning technologies include Pave Tech’s Typhoon and Badger Daylighting’s Hydrovac. Both technologies address a pressing need for effective PICP cleaning and complete restoration of infiltration rates.
Stonedek Silca Systems will show how existing wood decks can be converted to pavers supported by a unique underlayment. The presentation will address the market potential for such conversions.

ICPI Emerging Leaders Workshop - Becoming a Person of Influence
Everyone influences others. You don’t have to be in a high-profile occupation to be an influencer; whenever your life connects with another person, you exert influence. Everything you do– at home, at work, or at play—has an impact on the lives around you. No matter what your goals are in life, you can achieve them faster, you can be more effective and the contribution you make can be longer lasting if you learn to develop your influence.
Mission: To increase member involvement with younger professionals, grow industry knowledge, and educate them on the benefits of ICPI and how it can support industry growth.
1. Increase industry knowledge amongst those newest to the segmental concrete pavement industry.
2. Increase knowledge about the mission, vision and purpose of the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI).
3. Leadership development for ICPI and member companies.
Audience: Young and/or new professionals (currently 45 & under).
**An offsite networking event is included for the Emerging Leaders participants on Sunday, August 25th at 6pm.
Moving through the middle stages of 2019, we are turning our attention to what the leading indicators are saying about the economy for late 2019 and 2020. The clouds are darkening with respect to the US consumer and residential construction markets this year which will have consequences for commercial construction markets in 2020. There are business cycle changes that are reshaping the future, and there are policy actions that will have an impact on our future—and others that won’t. The consumer drove the economy to its recent peak; attend and find out why we think the consumer is in a weakened position in 2019.
Tariffs, global uncertainty, the stock market, B-to-B activity, and interest rates all have a part to play in the outlook and Connor will paint the picture so that attendees will walk away with a clear understanding how the economic environment will impact their business and their bottom line.
