California Paver Manufacturers Host PICP Seminars

Members of the Concrete Masonry Association of California and Nevada (CMACN) recently hosted two free seminars in late June on permeable interlocking concrete pavements. Presented in San Jose and Costa Mesa, the former location saw 47 attendees, mostly from municipal agencies, and the latter 21, a mix of municipal agencies and consulting engineers.

The two 5-hour seminars covered site selection criteria, hydrologic and structural design per Caltrans guidelines, construction and maintenance. Participants received technical resources in support of the seminars. The presenters were Dave Hein, P.Eng., Principal Engineer with Applied Research Associates, Inc, and David R. Smith, Technical Director with the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute. The CMACN host companies and locations included:
