Louisville, KY -- The National Collegiate Landscape Competition at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah is the site of the first of six regional championships leading up to the final 2017 Hardscape North America Installer Championship to take place later this year. The regional championships were launched in 2016 and were so successful that they have now expanded to include six locations around the country.
The Installer Championship finals will take place at Hardscape North America (HNA), October 19-20 in Louisville, KY. The Interlocking Concrete and Pavement Institute (ICPI) will provide the six winning teams (of two people each and an alternate or coach) from the regional championships roundtrip transportation to Louisville, KY, individual accommodations at the Galt House Hotel Louisville (Wed-Sat), complimentary trade show admission to HNA and complimentary registration for the HNA Installer Championship finals. The total prize package is valued at up to $4,000 per team.
The Hardscape North America Installer Championships are intended to test and recognize the skill, dedication and passion of hardscape contractors from Canada, the United States and Mexico.
Teams may register and secure their spot (without competing in a regional championship) for the final Hardscape North America Installer Championship in Louisville, KY beginning in May. Registration is $150 per team before the early bird date of September 7, 2017, of which $150 will be refunded to each team who competes after the conclusion of the trade show.
At the final Hardscape North America Installer Championship, all teams will have their understanding of industry best practices and guidelines tested in a race against the clock and other top installers in the industry. The teams will compete for the Hardscape North America Installer Champion trophy, $1,000 cash prize, tools and gear from participating sponsors and recognition on the Hardscape North America and ICPI websites and in various industry publications. In 2016 the grand prize package was valued at $10,000!
The next Regional Installer Championship will be on April 4 at the Northeast Hardscape Expo, taking place at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, RI. Additional regional championships are being planned for Lacey, WA; San Jose, CA; Fort Worth, TX and Indianapolis, IN.
