Illinois Department of Transportation Hosts Permeable Pavement Seminar

The Illinois Technology Transfer Center of the Illinois DOT will host a free permeable pavement workshop on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Northern Illinois University, Hoffman Estates Conference Center, 5555 Trillium Blvd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60192. The event is open to those interested in permeable pavements. The speakers are Dave Hein, P. Eng and Lori Schaus, P. Eng. with Applied Research Associates, Inc. The event is sponsored by the US Federal Highway Administration and the Illinois Department of Transportation.

This one-day workshop addresses the latest in permeable pavement technologies and best practices. The workshop provides the most current information on the structural and hydraulic design, factors for successful construction and maintenance and performance of long-lasting storm water management pavement systems.

This event is for federal, state and local planners or engineers with planning, design, construction, or maintenance responsibilities. Stormwater professionals (CPESC, CESSWI, CMS4S, & CPSWQ), contractors, material suppliers, construction inspectors, local agency employees and other persons involved in stormwater management and the design and inspection of permeable pavement are encouraged to attend. The event earns 5 PDHs.
