February 10, 2017

ICPI is currently working with organizers of the 2017 Regional HNA Installer Championships. Winners of Regional Championship will participate in the national 2017 HNA Installer Championship at the Hardscape North America show in Louisville, KY, October 19-20. Events are already scheduled for:

  • April 4 - Northeast Hardscape Expo, Providence, RI (New England Region)
  • March 15-18 - National Collegiate Landscape Competition, Provo, UT

Additionally, events are again being planned in:

  • Lacey, WA (Northwest Region)
  • San Jose, CA (Western Region)
  • Fort Worth, TX (South Central Region)
  • Indianapolis, IN (Eastern Region)

Last year, the Regional HNA Installer Championships were a great success. The events were held in March, August and September.

Patrick Riley and Justice Schlemmer from Virgina Tech won the Hardscape Installation event of the 2016 National Collegiate Landscape Competition held at Mississippi State University in March 2016.

Jesus Tovar and Gilberto Quinonez of General Pavers won the HNA Regional Installer Championship — Central Region on Aug. 26 in Fort Worth, Texas sponsored by Pavestone, Belgard and ICPI.

Cutting Edge Pavers and owner, Lee Reveles, won the HNA Regional Installer Championship — Western Region on Aug. 27 in San Jose, California sponsored by the ICPI Northern California Chapter.

Engledow Estates won the HNA Regional Installer Championship — Eastern Region on Sept. 9 in Cincinnati, Ohio sponsored by Oldcastle and Pavestone.

Segmental Systems won the HNA Regional Installer Championship — Northwestern Region on Sept. 10 in Lacey, Washington sponsored by Mutual Materials, Belgard and Williamette Graystone.

The winning teams at each event received valuable prizes which included transportation for the team to Louisville KY, accommodations at the Hyatt Regency Louisville, HNA tradeshow passes and a reserved spot in the 2016 Hardscape North America Installer Championship. One of the regional winners, LR Landscaping from Lincoln CA posted a high score in the preliminary round of the national event to get them into the final Championship round. Unfortunately, their marks in the final round didn’t earn them the Champion’s Cup.
