University Curricula
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE CURRICULUM
The University of Georgia’s College of Environmental Design has created an online learning tool for segmental concrete pavement for landscape architecture students. The website is an innovative approach to exposing landscape architecture professors and students to the family of concrete paving products and systems.
Content includes:
- example studios
- labs
- ecology and construction
Materials include:
- interactive media
- downloadable presentations
- individual and group exercises
- self assessments
Modules allow for guided instruction in addition to self-learning. Instructors may moderate discussions, assist in online navigation, or download and utilize offline materials such as exercises and presentations.
More information:
Landscape architecture professors interested in using the curriculum can review the program by visiting the site at www.paveshare.org. Call ICPI at (703) 657-6900 for more information.
CIVIL ENGINEERING CURRICULUM
Developed by the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo, the University Curriculum contains nine instructional modules in PowerPoint, suitable for undergraduate and graduate civil engineering students. The resource kit includes PowerPoint files, technical papers, and resources such as ICPI's PICP Design Manual and Tech Specs. Also provided is an instructor's guide with learning objectives and suggested assignments. Please contact ICPI at (703) 657-6900 for more information or to request a resource kit. A summary of all the modules is available here.
Topics included:
- Module 1: Introduction
- Module 2: Materials and Standards [click here to view recording of presentation delivered as a webinar]
- Module 3: Road Design
- Module 4: Construction Methods
- Module 5: Maintenance and Management
- Module 6: Life-Cycle Cost Analysis
- Module 7: Airport Pavement Design
- Module 8: Port and Industrial Pavement
- Module 9: Permeable Pavement Design
Workshop for University Professors:
A one-day workshop for Civil Engineering University Professors specifically designed to aid in the integration of the ICPI University Curriculum into existing undergraduate and graduate courses. ICPI now participants in the Pavement Track at the annual PCA Professor Workshop.
